What Goes Into A Bridal Bouquet?

Choosing blooms for a bridal bouquet is the first thing I do when planning for a wedding. Everything else I design will be based around the colors, shapes and styles of the bridal bouquet. I always keep the idea of using lots of different sizes and shape of flowers & foliage. Using those ideas along with your color palette creates your floral palette.

Below is a basic recipe that I like to start off with!

Large Blooms or Focal Flowers: Roses (garden roses, big lush white blooms- there are SO many varieties here ) or focal flowers if it matches your style (sunflowers, king protea, succulents etc.)

Long Flowers: Campanula, delphinium, sweet pea, hybrid delphinium

Smaller Luxe Floral: Small but mighty- ranunculus, spray rose, anemone, scabiosia

Texture Flowers: Eryngium, Calycina, Heather, Limonium

Greens & Foliages: A few of my favorites - Italian Ruscus, Variegated Pittosporum, Preserved Plumosa, Jasmine

I hope this give you look into the flower planning process!
